Throughout this Payment & Cancellation Policy, Lakeview Management and Marketing LLC, DBA Somos Impact Travel (hereafter referred to as “the Company” or “We”), and the traveler(s) will be referred to as “Guest(s).”
To secure your spot on an Impact Adventure, a deposit of USD $500 per guest, per tour is due to Somos Impact Travel. This deposit is applied toward the total cost of the trip. By submitting a deposit, you officially reserve your place on the trip. Deposits are fully refundable for 30 days after initial payment; after that, deposits are non-refundable but honored for life and may be applied to any future trip with Somos Impact Travel.
Guests may pay in full or set up a monthly payment plan during onboarding. Full payment must be received 120 days prior to departure. Payment plan agreements outline specific installment dates and amounts, and all balances must be cleared before the trip begins.
To cancel your booking, notify Somos Impact Travel at team@somos.travel. Cancellation fees are based on the date notice is received and expressed as a percentage of the total trip cost (excluding deposit):
If Somos Impact Travel is unable to run the trip due to insufficient enrollment, Guests will receive a full refund.
If the Company is unable to provide the Experience due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control — including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, civil unrest, or pandemic — the Company may either reschedule the Experience or provide a full or partial refund of payments made, excluding the $500 deposit, at its sole discretion.
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
