PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION POLICY
Lakeview Management and Marketing LLC, doing business as Somos Impact Travel (“Somos,” “the Company,” or “We”), and each traveler or the traveler’s parent/guardian (“Guest”) agree to the terms below.
Deposit
A deposit of USD $500 per guest, per program is due to secure a spot on a Somos Impact Travel program. This deposit goes toward the total trip cost and is non-refundable. It is honored for life and may be applied to any future Somos Impact Travel program.
Payment Schedule
- 50% of the total trip cost is due 90 days before departure
- The remaining balance is due 60 days before departure
Once the 90 day payment is made, it becomes non-refundable if the Guest cancels 90 days or less before departure. Payment plans may be arranged during onboarding.
If a booking is made less than 90 days before departure, the 50% payment is due at booking. If a booking is made less than 60 days before departure, full payment is due at booking.
Cancellation
To cancel a booking, notify Somos Impact Travel in writing at team@somos.travel. Refunds are based on the date notice is received:
- More than 90 days before departure: full refund of all payments, excluding the deposit
- 90 days or less before departure: no refund of payments made
Trip Confirmation
If Somos is unable to run a program due to insufficient enrollment, Guests receive a full refund of all payments, including the deposit.
Force Majeure
If Somos is unable to deliver a program due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, civil unrest, or pandemic, Somos may reschedule the program or provide a full or partial refund of payments made, excluding the $500 deposit, at its sole discretion.
Program Modification
Somos reserves the right to modify a program’s itinerary, accommodations, or activities due to operational conditions, weather, partner availability, or safety considerations. Modifications are made in the best interest of participant safety and program quality.
Governing Law
This policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Entire Agreement
This policy, together with any signed program agreement, constitutes the entire agreement between the parties on payment and cancellation terms and supersedes all prior agreements or understandings, written or oral, on the same subject.
